Minister of Families

Office: 864-578-1910 ext. 102
E-Mail:

Lee James serves as our Family Minister. He ministers to our children, youth, and parents alongside many invaluable volunteers. Lee was raised in a Christian home and came to know Jesus at 19. He entered the workforce and studied to be a diesel technician. God used him here as a part-time youth minister for years but God called him to full-time ministry in 2018. Fairview brought Lee on staff in October of 2019 under the vision and faithful mentorship of Pastor Ty Childers. He is currently finishing his Bible Degree from Andersonville University as well as obtaining his counseling certification from ACBC (Association of Certified Biblical Counselors).

Lee has been happily married for over twenty years to his precious wife, Amber and they have been blessed with three children (Abbey, Jude, and Silas). Lee desires to be a faithful minister to the families of Fairview and the unchurched families in our community. In addition, Lee enjoys spending time with his wife, making music, listening to podcasts and preaching, watching football, and cheering on his children in their extracurricular activities.

Minister of Senior Adults and Visitation

Office: 864-579-1910 ext. 103
E-Mail:

Gary is living proof that God may surprise you with the plans He has for your life. He found that God used every detail to prepare Him for the journey ahead. After retiring from International Paper with over 30 years of service, Gary acknowledged God’s call to ministry and was ordained in 2019. In retrospect, he recognizes that God used a supervisory position that he never desired to train him in dealing with people. He learned to consider what others are going through, and to treat others with dignity and respect. It is not uncommon for Gary to share how God has helped him through a difficulty to encourage someone who is going through a trial. God has taught him through experience the truths of Proverbs 3:5-6 and Psalm 37:4-5; the help we need doesn’t come from ourselves, but from trusting God to lead our life. This is where the hope is.Gary loves studying the books of The Bible, playing guitar and singing. Gary and his wife, Wanda, will soon be celebrating 45 years of marriage. He enjoys spending time with his wonderful children and grandchildren.
